Hi all,
I currently own a Faired Hornet 600 02 plate. I really like my bike but there are a few things I am not sure about. I don't like the Hornet tank range and the lack of fuel warning light. I also prefer the look of the naked bikes.
I have always liked the ER6N but I could never afford one when I first passed my test because they had not been out long and where still 4/5k as new bikes.
I am not sure if I should trade in my Hornet and buy a er6 would it be a massive loss in power and a mistake. i have never ridden an er6 thoughts and opinions are welcome

from what I've read its much lower power than a hornet, softer, more cushioned, looks odd, generally a new biker beginner type thing.

I think you'll very quickly get bored of it and crave the power.

Instead of looking "down", look upwards maybe? Bigger bikes, more capacity, equal/better power? Or buy a newer hornet with a bigger tank?

Go get a new Hornet, s'posed to be a bit better. Maybe not in the looks department though, unless you're blinded by new-bike-bling.

ER6s look a bit, erm, dreadful.
