Is this stationary or coming to a halt and still moving slightly?

Roll the bike a half a turn forwards of backwards and try again. Most bikes dont like finding neutral when stationary.

In future, try anf get 1st before you come to a stop.

That won't do anything.

Are you sure you clutch is adjusted properly ?

Yes it will.

By revving the engine and trying to find neutral only to hit 1st and letting the clutch out may cause the bike to wheelie uncontrollably down the road.

Its a joke Rolling Eyes .

Other thing to check, is to make sure that your chain is adjusted correctly, have had it on my CB-1 if the chain is too loose/tight it won't find neutral very easily.

i am certainly not joking. I have to blip the throttle on my VFR to find neutral when its warm. You can let the clutch out when the neutral light comes on, that way you dont end up goin down the road.

With my Coguar 125 I have to get to second and tap down, as opposed to get to first and tap up... not sure why but it seems to be easyier!

Also, if you keep missing, get to second, rev a bit, let the cluch out 'til it bites, then pull the clutch lever back in and tap down slightly on the gear selector... if its like mine it'll slip into neutral!

Give it a shot and I bet it works! Thumbs Up

ignoring the fact that I'm a noob, my instructor was telling us to rev it slightly and so thats what I used to do to find neutral. Though the only time I used it was when parking up
