ig got a set of Dunlop GPR100's on my VFR400 nc30, there ment to be sports touring tyres, but they seem to take stupid amounts of time to warm up, they are utterly ridiculous in the wet, no grip at all, if you even apply any power they back end likes to come and say hello, the other day i went round an nice smooth sweeping corner, not fast cus it was wet, and it felt like my bike was under steering, im well annoyed with them,
i exit a round about yesterday and the front felt VERRY Flinchy, felt like it was griping and letting go all the time. the back end always locks up on breaking!!! i want a new set, but they dont wana wear down !!

i think ill go back to the good old 090 when i finally do get shot of them.

is there anythgin i can do with them cus i wana do a track day soon, but its going to be suicidal on those tyres

You do know you can change tyres before they're worn out? Places do actually let you do that.

I'd check your tyre pressures. The rear locking under braking is probably a result of lack of experience with the rear brake. It takes very little to lock a rear wheel on braking.

If you're that worried about them, just bite the bullet and get something else.

Tyre warmers, are you kidding me?

I'm not sure whether to downrate that as misleading or something...

Simple, you should have stuck to Bridgestone BT 92's and you'd have not got any problems. I don't have any issues of handling instibility or grip in the wet when i had them on my 250 AND they lasted me quite some time too - say 6000 miles?

nope tyre perssures are fin i had the bike shop check them when i had its major service done, and they said it was a little low, but they sorted it.
im fine with the rear break, under heavy breaking i can get it just rute til it lifts off the deck. it locked up when i was on they way back from wales in the rain and all i did was drag it coming into a corner n "hello, here comes the rear trying to race me round the corner"

im pondering weather or not to get a spare set of rims n keep these rims n tyres as distance shit n have a stupid sticky set to turn into eraser dust. but that will be even more expencive :O

i hate money, especially when iv not that much of it...

Spare set of wheels is almost certainly more expensive than buying new tyres. Although depends if you need disks/sprocket too.

Could probably even get some race scrubs at a race meet, although not many people run NC30s. And probably not with the odd sized rear wheel.

Tyres are the difference between being upright and on your side. Don't mess about mate, change em if they're causing you grief.
