First day of A2 training

ok i have my A2 test on tuesday next week, and i had my first day of training today, it went well and apart from speeding a lot and nearly having a huge off during my emergency stop. I managed to lose the front wheel... i dont know how but i think not many other people have done it as the instructer was a bit confused too. Anyway i was told my general riding was good and i should pass my test unless i make a huge mistake.

The worst thing is i have an operation planned on my shoulder to repair some ligament damage i acquired playing rugby. After speaking to the doctor he says dont ride for 2 months after the op, which is two days after my test. Its pretty much all or nothing on my test...

well all the best on your test m8 hope it all goes to plan as an ex rugby player myself(tighthead prop) my shoulders are knackered as are my knees ankles wrists and elbows just ride your test for yourself and ride with confidence and good luck for your op afterwards as well

@ giftedbean, I played tighthead prop in the past too. Knee and back problems for me, but thankfully not severe enough to need surgery

Sorry, NSR, but I think you will find that too much front brake in the wet when practising your e-stop is to blame!

And as for "the instructor being a bit confused"? I don't think so!
In fact, I know so! She's watching me type this!

Aware of all of the above, NSR. Was obviously sorry to hear about your 'off' (but even more to hear how it happened!!)

Remember what's important - sort your health, or you won't be riding bikes for years, let alone a few months!

Take it easy; expect to see you on here a lot more with all that time on your hands. Hope the op goes well.......... Wink
