hi im in the process of doing up a 1994 mito. i need to get the front wheel off to get it sprayed. ive undone the two allen bolts on each fork leg and have tried knocking the axle out but im getting nowhere fast. anybody had this problem before and how could i get it out

1. Might be a left handed thread.
2. Have you slackened all pinch bolts properly.
3. what have you tried knocking it out with ?

ive undone the pinch bolts till they fall out ive hit it with a hammer and a solid bar and i dont think its a threaded bar heres a couple of pics

you need an allen key in side the disk side of the wheel.

you have to use a big allen key/driver and "unscrew" the axle from the fork leg then use a drift to get it all the rest of the way through

i think this is your model as it has no nut on the end

ok cheers thats me knackered then i dont have a allen key that big i thought it would be the same as the 1 on my yz125 just knock it out

see if you can find a bolt that will fit in there and then 2 nuts and lock them together on the bolt then try Very Happy be creative Very Happy Thumbs Up

i personally would hold a rachet handle to it and lightly tap it with a hammer.
have done that on my supercity's front wheel spindle.
just be careful not to hit it too hard as you risk damaging the thread.
