I like the look of them, but i feel that (rather sadly) they don't go as well as they look.
Having ridden me best mates one for a while, my criticisms are:
Front end feels very vague, especially at speed, seems difficult to gauge the level of grip and constantly i wouldn't commit to any corners with any speed or confidence.
Engine seems lacking in the both the puff department and the entertainment department - possibly due to the nasty standard can my mate has on it which reduces the engine to sewing machine volumes.
In all honesty, i think my mate regrets not getting the thou - he ummed and aahed for ages and his missus ended up convincing him to get the 750 for 'financial reasons'.
I'm disappointed i didn't like the ride of the 750, coz i want to like the bike - honest! ____________________ Space Monkey #7

Here is myne, been ridden through 3 winters up and down salty motorways in all weather. Only get's cleaned in the summer when I'm board and it's a nice sunny day. It's also stored outside with a cheap oxford cover thrown over it.
Was last cleaned about May this year, before that it was last cleaned about last September/October. Doesn't look to bad considering

Rad and the exhaust headers are looking a bit dirty in that pic but they clean up quite well if you spend a few hours cleaning it up.
I've done a few mods to myne and it goes quite well. It needs to be opened up above 6/7k for the fun factor. I've put a new map on the powercomander from their website as it was drinking fuel with normal commuting. It's tamed it a bit, power is more linea but it's taken away the buzz factor I had from a custom map someone sent me with a similar set up. With that custom map it used to take off like a rocket.
Standard, if you not ridden anything else with a better setup/engine it's quite good but gets a bit dull after a week or so. Suspension also could be better. All in all though it's a good all round bike for everyday riding.
Had it 3 years now, i'm thinking when I get some more money I might change for a KTM 950 SM or the 1200 Aprillia Shiver looks interesting when it's released. |

Apparently the brakes are a bit weedy. I think they are 2 pot sliding offerings. Braided lines ftw. ____________________ My Flickr |
