limiting and aprilia 125 vs cagiva mito 125

1) which is faster and better bike aprilia 125 vs cagiva mito 125

2) if i was to limit a bike would it mean it would turn really slow and a low top speed because of the revs and stuff (just what i heard) and if i was to limit it and get the certificate and then take it of but still said it was limited would they believe me? what would happen if they didnt?

Oh also the revs will be restricted to @ around 8 or 9000rpm and of course the acceleration.

Why not do your A2, so then you wont have to worry about it?

Full power performance of both is about the same. Restricted performance about the same. While the Mito often seemed to come out about1mph faster in the road tests you could easily change this with gearing (early Mito has a 7 speed gearbox, which meant they could get away gearing it for both top speed and acceleration more easily).

Full power with a reasonable size rider in neutral conditions they should both manage within a gnats of 100mph true (which will be 110~120mph indicated).

Restricted they will manage 75~80mph true. However the restriction is to power (11kW), and on the RS for example this mainly is done by omitting the power valve and fitting a blanking plate. Result is stuff all power beyond 8000rpm (they are geared for roughly 10mph per 1000rpm in top). Think the Mito is a bit more involved (and varies, early ones were restricted by just a washer in the exhaust). Basically runs like a normal bike up to those revs.

You could derestrict it and run it like that as a learner (as long as you know this is illegal, and you are technically riding without a licence). You would probably get away with it. You might not manage to use it for the bike test (I have heard of people getting refused a test because they have turned up on a sporty 125 and had no proof it was restricted, even though it was restricted).

wat bout if i was to say a 400cc bike was resticted but it wasent....they couldnt say anything if i had a certificate and wasent speeding could they?

and i am going to do the test were you have to wait to years becuase im not 21 lol

Mito for the win!

Although my mates had a RS and now owns a mito and he summed it up like this.

The Mito is built to a higher standard and easier to work on, and is slightly faster, but the RS handles better.
Also the mito looks a hell of alot nicer.

Get whichever you can get the best deal on, and dont restrict it, leave it at full power.
