Hi,

I have a 2007 ZX6R which I purchased in March.

Its still showroom condition with 2700 miles on it.

I paid £7150 for it and basically I would like some advice on how much it would be worth if I was to sell it now, And if it would sell quickly at a reasonable price.

Cheers Thumbs Up

It will sell generally if it is at a reasonable price. If you want a quick sale then you are going to have to make it a fantastic deal not to be missed. It all depends on how big a hit you can take with what you are going to lose from what you paid originally.

Yeah 100% Standard.

I was hoping to get closer to the 6k mark, Bikes seem to be more expensive in Northern Ireland compared to England.

The only thing I am using the bike for is a 4 mile trip to work each day, So its pretty pointless having the bike just for that. I'm also saving for something and selling the bike will help a lot.

So youve done 2700 milesby just going to and from work for 3 months? Confused

Its only worth what someone wants to pay - stick it on eBay with a reserve and see what its bidded upto. I would say you'll be lucky to get £6k!

Didnt u think seriously before spending that kind of cash? Rolling Eyes

It would work out less than 700 miles if you went 4 miles, each way, 7 days a week for the last 3 months. Laughing

Hi Jamie,

I also bought a 2007 ZX600R in may and I think you`ve already paid well over the top. There are deals around to buy them for £5999, interest free with full warranty and rac cover.

Good luck on the sale, but if your keen to sell, your gonna have to be realistic and drop the price.

Not in Northern Ireland, We pay around £1000 more than in England for a new bike.

I got it the day after they came into Northern Ireland and just paid it straight off, So I don't owe anything on it.

Im just about to go to the dealer I bought it from to see what ridiclously low price he will offer so I have an idea of what I could be looking at. Laughing

My commute (if I went straight there and straight back) would put on 240 miles in 3 months. Laughing

My commute would project about 5400 miles in 3 months; though that's moot now, as I'll be taking the train while I rebuild my bike and/or find a new one. Go me.

I sold a brand new Kwak ER6n after 6 months.

Put it on ebay and got plenty of interest at v. reasonablt prices. Be prepared to lose 1500 quid though (especially if you shelled out on a few optional extras!)

I realise i'm going to lose money, That isn't a problem.

Is it worth putting it on ebay? They always seem to charge me shit loads of money on the final sale price, For instance I sold £160 worth and they charged me £12 on fees...
Surely there would be a much smaller audience in Northern Ireland, If I was going to buy a bike i wouldnt even think of looking on Ebay. It's also advertised elsewhere so how does that work if I sell it via biketrader Confused

Ps: There is no females involved in this decision Laughing

Little bit of experience here, oop north in cumbria we seem to pay more for bikes.

A few months ago I bought a C6F 636 from a honda dealer. It had been registered in october and had covered 280 miles and was in absolute mint condition. I paid £5000 for it and I think that may have even been a bit over the top, but love was love.

I wouldnt look twice at an 07 for £6k with any substantial mileage on it. Being in England I wouldnt even be interested in it if its from Ireland either.

£5500 or thereabouts would maybe be more reasonable but it would have to be in complete showroom condition. At 2700 you are also 1300 miles or so from its first big service and would be needing a new bridgestone on the back.
