As the title says. I passed my test today with three minors. My instructor and my examiner both said i ride like a natural Very Happy .

Hoping to go shopping tomorrow for a more powerful bike... well 33bhp as that is all i can have for 2 years Sad . I have seen a couple that i like but tomorrow i will be taking my dad(and his credit card) with me. He didnt want to know until i passed but now i have i can sart looking to buy.

Any more tips on a good first bike would be greatly appreciated. I quite like bandits and that sort of thing but only have a budget of around 1700 so looking for a good bike that i should be able to pick up for that and on that has a fairly low insurance group as i am only 17.

Thanks

Andy

Well done on passing. If you like the bandit then go for one but I have always prefered the Hornet. Just seem better put together.

Went shopping on friday and looked at couple but went for the GS500. Was a 2002 with 8k miles on the clock and was in imaculate condition. Got to wait till middle of the next week befor i can pick it up cos the dealer needs to get in the restrictor kit and fit it.

Not my actual one but it is that colour and everything. I will post up some pics of mine when i have it and can get some.

Well done on the pass!!!

As for the GS500, I passed my DAS test on one. Good as a 1st bike IIRC, but make sure you look after it, cos they tend to dissolve if not cared for.
