Seriously, how can people be so damned rude/mean/disrespectful.
I was at work today, checkout monkey at B+Q, when a guy around my own age or a bit older, I'd say around 16-19? Came up to my empty till and started to ask me a question about the location of shelves. The guy had a stutter, quite a bad one, so it took a while for him to say it and he had to start again a few times, (apologising profusely Question whilst so) when a guy in mid forties came up behind him and stood there for all of around 10 seconds before loudly saying 'for f*cks sake, can't you just spit it out? Evil or Very Mad Get over it' I was so shocked that he'd actually said it that I just stood there. The guy with the stutter apologised again and swiftly walked out of the shop. After doing so I refused to serve the c*nt and got someone else to do it.

I just dont understand how someone can be that rude. It's not so hard just to wait a few more seconds just because someone actually couldn't speak any faster. It just pissed me off, because the guy was just trying to get something, but then was cut across, and probably had his confidence dashed by an inconsiderate b*stard.

I think I would actually have reverted to untold amounts of horrific violence.

I have a bizarre and inexplicable protective instinct where stutterers are concerned, and I doubt I would have retained my civility or my job if exposed to the situation you describe.

Thumbs up for not disturbing the Queen's peace; shame on you for not gutting the unpleasant 'tard like a fish.

Yea thats shitty.

To be honest, i probably would of thrown the 40 year old guy out, for swaring and creating an uncomfortable enviroment for your customers.

Problem is, the world is like that, happens everywhere, and it won't change, because all the stupid teenage thugs, drunks and chavs we have nowadays will one day turn 40.

That was my 1st instinctive thought.
But you never know what issues these cnuts have.
That may be what drives them.
Would they take doggin' and let it be, or would they pricks wait till you get off shift and follow you home?
They would know where to find you, if that's where you work.

A difficult one.

People get away with this shit all the time. And if you 'draw your sword' you must be prepared to use it.
If that means extinguishing the fuker, so they never get to haunt you, then so be it. I could live with that. But not in jail. (With you holding the key and me looking for the soap.... Sad )

A valid point - although it's fairly safe to assume that someone who gets his kicks picking on a shy stutterer is probably not going to be a stone cold bringer of death and suffering when compared with - for example's sake - the likes of me.

These days, you risk people following you home and taking you out a random, so it seems no great hardship to increase the risk slightly, by standing up for your principles.

Again, valid point, although I've often found that the mere sight of a large, confident, shaven-headed frame moving towards them with looming intent tends to extract a swift apology from most cowardly fucktards. Were I the one in the situation, and if he actually had guts, he'd be too busy ripping it out of me for being so ugly to worry about hassling the stutterer.

I (as a another customer) would of said:

'He will hopefully overcome his stammer, you 'sir' will always be a tw*t.'

You made your stand by not serving him, without risking your job that's all you could do.

Good on yer Thumbs Up

Thats disgusting, i would of been inclined to have a quiet word. Its not the poor lads fault if he has a stutter, speaking to someone with a stutter tonight, and he was sound and also his Bike was absolutely gorgeous Thumbs Up

Get fuck wits tho, i choose just to ignore them now. But he is probably short of a good smack in the chops, the inconsiderate fucktard.

I have a client with a severe stutter. His name is Mr Stenner and it takes him ages to get it out, so to speak. When he calls, I'll just sit there in silence whilst he intruduces himself. I know who it is, and he knows I'll wait. Some seconds later, I'll give it "oh, hello Mr Stenner, how're you doing?" and my secretary gives me an approving nod. Just a few seconds of my time, that's all it takes.

Patience is a scarce attribute.

Yeah, I found it on the Superbike forums, being used by, suprisingly, some guy called 'Siggi' (possibly the same bloke I'm often being mistaken for). Naturally enough I couldn't resist making it my own. I even nicked his sig, how cheeky is that? Laughing

I work in admin/customer services and have a fairly frequent caller who has a stutter and I find it simply takes 1 minute to listen and get the jist of the conversation, then say "aha", "ok," etc between his sentences.. makes him more confident that I know what he's saying, and it eases dramatically. What is 10 seconds in a day? Thumbs Up

The only person who scares me has a full head of hair and not really much of a frame to brag about, the big shaven headed ones are normally not scary at all, they try too hard Wink
