I have this bone. Reason I kept it is because it's fascinating and weird to think that such a large and solid object is capable of growing during childhood.

Anyway, so I have this bone but I have no idea what it is. I am thinking that it is perhaps a sheep's leg bone, or thigh bone. There are cows the other side of the river where I got it from so perhaps a small calf fell in or something. But I think it might be too small to be a cow's bone.

Also with the floods a couple of years back it could have been washed down from anywhere so could be anything. But any flesh that was once on it has been washed away as it is just pure bone.

Any suggestions would be cool. Thank you! Thumbs Up

Looks like a cows or a horses humerus. It's definately a humerus, just not sure which off, but it's going to be one of the two by its size.

It's been a while since I was at college. I could probably have told you the difference when I was in Second year and fresh out of comparative anatomy classes.
