Just wondering.

Im re-doing my bedroom, got a nice Ikea Double bed on the way, and im gonna clean out the room.

The room is in neutral colours at the moment.

I would like nice looking canvas for the room, open to ideas on what. Something maybe like Pop art, or Kate Moss from the white stripes video on a canvas would look cool!

Im sure we have some artists here, so is there anyone thats able to make one for me?

Ive checked eBay, and if i dont find someone on here, i'll probably end up buying one off there.

So... the floors open, anyone able to help?

Haha, I'd consider it but I've never painted on canvas before. Confused

Sorry I wasted 5 seconds of your life. Neutral

Willow painted a canvas for our living room... I've only got a photo of it in it's first incarnation, but she painted it to match the colours in our room.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/painting.jpg

We went through a process with her bringing lots of sketches to our house to look through and we chose those we liked the most and she went away and did her magic. It's divided down the middle with green (Well, the colour in the photo) one side and blue the other and a large gemometric pattern finishing it off. Nice, bold and simple - I'm really pleased with it Smile

No pics but I painted canvasses for all of my friends for christmas a couple of years ago.
Here's what I did, very cheap and very effective.

1) Painted the canvas a shade bearing in mind the wall it was meant for.

2) When dry mask off the centre section, to any thickness you like.

3) In between masking tape, slap a load of grout (yes grout) leaving as rough a texture as possible.

4) When dry, very lightly, dry brush the grout with the same colour as the canvas.

5) Glue something interesting into the centre of the grouted area. I've used peacock feathers, interesting twigs, dried flowers, etc.

Voila! a work of art for pennies! Laughing

Got given this from my brother for my birthday, he got it at an art fair in London, it's a print. The frame is an Ikea jobby.

There are some companies that will take a high-res photo of anything you want, and print it on canvas for you.

Google "canvas print", and you may come up with a few.

My colleague's husband is an artist, exactly the sort of thing you're after, here is his website:

https://www.culticon.co.uk/

Really good stuff, and he will do whatever you like or you can buy one of his existing ones.

I tried getting a huge canvas off of eBay and got stung by some thieving vermin. So I asked my mum to make us one to go along one wall.

We told her the colours that we wanted and left the rest to her. We did hint at some pop artish type of art, but what she produced with some emulsion tester pots and some pre made canvas' was far far better than we could have asked for.

Each canvas is 40 x 50cm, with the price of the tester pots and some spray lacquer that she had left over was nominal, it only really cost her a few quid and 2 hours one evening.
