Has anyone heard her album, Begin to Hope? Picked it up the other day, having spent half an hour looking through all the 'S' section in Virgin, as I couldn't remember her name.
I like to use the word 'banging', but it doesn't really describe the album. It's brilliant relaxed rock with a bit of jazz thrown in. If you're looking for some easy listening or quiet night music with some pretty strange lyrics, couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Anyway, having far too much spare time until September when I finally get to go back to work and off loss of earnings I want a few more recommendations in a similar music genre, some mellow rock, acoustic rock, it's all good.

heard about her last year and seen her in Glasgow a few months back.. she's got a superb voice and i love the way she experiments with it and yeah her lyrics are kinda quirky..
chemo limo is one of my favourites.
she's just funny if you ask me
mary ann and the gravediggers is a better album.. begin to hope is too "poppy"
anyway if you like regina, you should love joanna newsom.. not so much comercially acceptable music but much deeper, buy "Ys" it's a masterpiece! |
