Note that this is part of a TV/Net/Phone package which I get at an absolutely awesome rate because i've been a customer 6 years and i've phoned up threatening to cancel every year for about 3 years now.

now ive finally got a phone line with bt after arguing with them constantly for a month and no internet as the previous owners fucked off without cancelling theirs so its tagged on my line and i cant do jack shit until its untagged

cant get virgin here until bt have upgraded their exchange im well pissed off

Your chosen service provider needs to get in contact with BT WHOLESALE tag's on the line unit, and get the tag removed, or if it's LLU, then they'll tell you who it is, so you can get it removed.

As to "cant get virgin here until bt have upgraded their exchange im well pissed off" if you're talking about cable, you're a fool, as they use a separate cable network, and not bt exchanges. Unless you're talking about LLU Virgin, in which case, it won't be long, use a standard provider until then.

Call Virgin Media sales dept. Say you want 2 for 20 (Telephone and BB) and say you've heard of the Talk Unlimited offer with it.

You should be able to get, at a minimum, 20.00 for 2mb BB and unlimited landline calls for 12 months. If you're better at bargaining then you'll get what you want.
