As long as you have a helmet on, it's perfectly legal.

I was very tempted to do the same thing in a Santa suit at Christmas time. Would make the kids smile Smile

Sounds a good idea, like the furry outer should keep the recent chilly weather out.

Only problem I can see, is being humped by dogs, and being mistaken for totty by Northerners

i should be able to stretch the head over the helmet, its shoes could be a problem as i can barely fit my feet in them wearing slippers let alone boots (or trainers) gloves will easily fit over my bike gloves

just think it'd be more fun, also might distract people long enough so i can cut infront of them Twisted Evil

so much more fun when people dress up for no reason isntead of at halloween, there was a guy dressed as a bannana in my friends pub for no reason whatsoever.

One time in a uni union a storm trooper walked in, took a few shots and walked away, this was in march or something.

only significant problem is when it rains, but luckily it hasnt rained here in weeks, it seems all the shitty weather from scotland has gone south MUAHAHHAHA, been a nice 20c for the last few days

i was also thinking of gettin a clone trooper outfit (i like them better than storm troopers) as it would go well with a white bike. sadly those are so dam expensive and i'd have to use a normal bike helmet and get a custom paint job.

wonder what else you could dress up as on a bike

I used to have a gorilla mask (complete with furry hair) stuck on the back of my helmet.

Rode round London with it on there for about six months, never got pulled by the old bill.

So long as you wear your helmet, nobody can criticise you for wearing a gorilla suit.

At halloween we wore costumes and masks under our lids and chased kids Laughing

Immature and funny.

Got some dodgy looks at traffic lights to Laughing

Every year Bath uni MCC joins a Bristol ride out, where everyone dresses as Father Christmas and rides to a hospital in Bristol and gives presents to all the sick kiddies. Must be ace to see all those Santas riding along.

Certainly shows the cuddlier side of biking!

You should definitely do it and post the pics, it'd be so cool! Or, even better, rig a camera on your bike to record the onlookers' expressions.

I attend the Ace Toy Run dressed up as Santa, riding either a red bike or a decorated silver one. On my return trip last Xmas, people were running into the road to take pics of me and little kids were very excited. Open face helmet helps, as you can have the beard flapping in the wind. The Santa hat was taped on the top of the helmet.

No pics of the rider, but here's what my scoot was wearing last Xmas period:

Well i rode my scooty to a job interview all suited at booted.

I looked rather smart Thumbs Up

Got one of those damn office types pull up, with his fancy suit on his crappy 4 stroke commuter and he nodded at me.
Politely i nodded back.
Needless to say he didn't look very happy when the lights when green, and left in a cloud of blue smoke, and whizzed it onto one wheel for about 2 miles Mr. Green

If everybody put on their church going outfits and met at box hill for some antics.
