today i had the shittest day ever in the history of matt...

first off, booked my bike evaluation test yesterday, and turned up today after forgetting my CBT certificate... well done me!
so i get home, disheartened, and THEN I FUCKING SLIP ON SOME OIL ON A CORNER AND SMASH MY LEFT FAIRINGS!!! going at a massive 10 miles an hour, and as im lying on the floor with my legs in agony, i get to see my bike slide about 5 meters into a wall, how the hell does it slide that far at 10mph??
bent clutch lever, smashed fairing mounts, indicator, ego...

so i sort of crawled over to the bike and sat there for a bit after making sure nothing was broken and waited for the pain to go away before picking it up.
so i take it easy on the way home, pissed off and in pain, and for some reason it made me drive faster and i was cornering way faster than i usually do, no idea why.

then i got home... i think 'hmm, wheres my CBT certificate?'
after searching for an hour, i think 'i passed my CBT on that bike, so maybe...'
yup, my CBT certificate was under the fucking seat the whole time!

there we go, anger released... GOOSFRABA.... and all that anger releasing bollocks.

Probably where an instructor at a bike school looks at your your riding and works out what areas need improvement for the test. The hope (or deal) is that you'll then come back for any lessons deemed necessary.

I'm going to be doing a similar thing in the Autumn before I do my test.

No, I honestly think he's serious.

Mind you, with Colin it's bordering on a form of Confucism. Somebody should write this shit down. In 500 years it will be the basis of a new religion.

A Zen Colinist "Only through stating the obvious can we truly understand the essence of wisdom.".

it may seem like obvious in this thread

but u'd be surprised how often it gets disputed in other threads

the objection usually goes along the lines of

"this accident was a freak occurence and was entirely due to other people and i was blameless. Its about fate and riding fast, lack of experience or carelessness had no bearing on likelihood of accidents its all about fate and when your numbers up etc"

obviously in this thread we all agree with my comment so it seems obvious rather than controversial

but a dissenter might come along presently

before we get the wrong idea, when i came off, it was entirely my fault for being a pissed off plonker and not looking at the road to see the oil i was riding over. Thumbs Up
