I travel the same road daily... same stretch different times of the day I get a dizzy feeling, I am not ill and can only figure it must be something to do with the road layout, Bend, Tree line???? It does enter a canopy of trees and am figuring it might be a tunnel effect?? Please someone else tell me they suffer the same or i am straight down the docs tomorrow!

Is Farmer Giles growing a ganja or poppy crop in a near by field?
Could be strobing from light through the trees, strobes can bring on epileptic seizures. If this is the case you should see your doc.

Magic!!... A quick shake of the head cures it.... just very odd. Worryingly its always mid way through a left hand bend... 60 limit.. obvioulsy i am normally pinching a few miles an hour... I am pretty sure its before the canopy.. Farmer Giles and his cannabis collection could be an option!

20/20.... Been out for 100 miles tonight, again same stretch of road.. I was even thinking about it before the bend and sure enough it happened again.. I tried focusing on different limit points on the road... Fine in the car just the bike!

What do you focus on with the bike.

Are you looking through the corner etc ?

Weird that it happens on the bike and not in the car coz the road layout does not change depending on your vehicle, maybe the POV. Confused

Could be vertigo brought on by the motion of the bike and what your eyes perceive as the layout of the road.

My Misses has it pretty much all the time now.

Flickering of the light through the tree's maybe.
This would not be the same in the car as on the bike due to the enclosed nature of the car.

Shaking your head cures it. it could be a fluid imbalance in your ears. Get the once over by your pet police doc.

Your brain and eyes can see what angle you are stood / sat at, if the info the brain is getting from the balancing in the ears is different it can cause sickness and dizzyness.

Try taking a ginger pill before you set off, see if it sorts it. Good for sea sickness, if it is a sensory conflict it is the same cause.

I have exactly the same problem. Mine is caused by the strobe effect of the light shining through the trees.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

There is one road near me...absolutley amazing road if it is scorching, frightening if it is below 20 degrees.

Well i once went down it and i almost wet myself...dunno why, then all of a sudden i didn't need a piss anymore (and no, i hadn't pissed my pants)

I thought thats weird, so did the same route again about 2 days later...same thing happened.

I haven't been down it since Very Happy

The only dizzy road I've been on was when I was in the mountains on some long quiet roads which someone had been drifting from left to right for at least a 3-4 mile stretch. Wish I got off to take a picture but didn't want to stop. Brick Wall

Then I guess you'll be reporting this to the force surgeon as you are unfit for duty.

Just because you are an advanced police driver does not mean you can ride or that there isn't something wrong with you.

At the risk of wasting taxpayers money going sick, staying at home and polishing the bike!.... The grief would just be too much from the anti Police Brigade! .. Had it been regular I agree.. But the one stretch of road has to be the layout...

Mind you, there are a few roads that mess with your head/eyes. Where's that one that looks like it's going uphil but is really downhill? That'd mess with your brain at speed....

Sorry I'm in disagreement.

The symptoms you describe could suggest a few things at least one of which (photosensitive epilepsy) could cause your license to be revoked due to being a danger to others.

Failing to see the force surgeon in this case is a classic example of why the taxpayer is getting upset with the police.

No one said go sick, you can drive a desk.
