it has gone an eaten its Air Injector seals again! Evil or Very Mad
The last few times i have had the O-Rings fitted to the air injector professionally and then fitted the injector unit myself... untill the bloody things burnt through again three weeks ago...
so i decide to give the burden to a local shop to sort out... after waiting three weeks Rolling Eyes for those lazy ass cnuts at aprillia to send the pissing £6 O-Rings through i get the shop to fit the lot...
Went to collect it this morning it fired first time then cut out, tried again and it ran ok.... took it to work today (18Km ride) to let the oil in the engine and zorst to blow through on the mechs orders and then when i come to start it the bloody thing isn't interested.

It ticks over barely with a weak idle any touch of the throttle and it just bogs down and dies... if i start it and give it a fist full of revs it will rev up but die the second its back to idle...
The compressor is fine - checked that there doesn't apear to be blow back but there is a shit load of crap/oilly substance leaking from below the air injector body....
I dont know where i stand with the shop because i forked over a fairly large sum of money to fix this problem and the bike has done its self a record in fcuking up in just 18Kms Clapping

Honestly... from my experiance and the stories of others it has lead me to belive that Aprila, while they make nice looking bikes produce some shockingly shoddy and fickle machines.... especially where small capsity fuel injected models are concerned...

talking to Yorkie Bar Kid about it.. i have to agree with this quote

Aprilia: Making Riders into Mechanics for 40 years

/rant over

Aprilia still suck ass though

I had this exact problem with my Ditech too mate. Went on for a good 5-6 weeks!

I drained my petrol and 2 stroke tank firstly.
Then i put fresh smei-synthetic oil in to it. As fully synthetic is what makes it bog down to begin with.
I then cleaned out every delivery line on it from the 2 stroke tank and petrol tank, but most importantly the delivery line from the injector to the compressor. You will find all this white gunk in there.
I then thoroughly cleaned the injector and compressor. Along with cleaning the spark plug.
It's a case of going through the motions. I cleaned my injector unit a good 10 times and wire brushed my fouled plug douzens of times.

Another good tip is to use injector fluid in the petrol tank.

It's very, very annoying. But eventually you will get there.

it's all pretty simple stuff to carry out too.

But once i got mine spot on, it ran better than ever Thumbs Up .

Send me a p.m if you need any more advice mate Wink

Oh and by the way.

This link is a very good guide to sorting it Smile

hope this helps Smile
