Well, my bikes on ebay, up for £2550. It has to go.

I have somone coming round twomorrow, trying to get me to take £2200, but it just seems so cheap for a 52 plate CBRf Sport.

Bit of background knowledge:

38k on clocks, engine swaped to a 7kish millage one, paperwork not been updated.

Slight scratches to both sides

Needs new rear tyre and tax. 9ish months MOT.

my reserve was £2310...

Thumbs Up

I personally wouldn't touch it for £2200 myself.

New engines have no proof of mileage so it may as well be one with 50k on it. Neutral Which is unfortunate for you being the seller and all...

However, there are plenty of dipshits in this world who would pay £2700 for it, but you'd just have to wait until you found them.

Its only £100ish off your reserve and if it were just a private sale you usually expect to go down at bit. Like ask £2100 get £2000 for example.

Someone might pay more but is it worth the extra hassle and wait for less than £200?

£2k is a great price to get for the bike anyway Wink.

Is this the same guy who bided for it and has got it up to £2500 odd?

Either way, if he wants it, tell him to bid.

If you really want rid of it fast then just stand your ground and remind him what the reserve is.

I can guarantee that he brings enough money to cover the reserve price, they always do.

STAND YOUR GROUND!

Just say: Why sell to you when I have a higher reserve? DO you want it or not?

Can you not let the auction run and if it doesn't sell, offer it to the person interested for £2200?

I wouldn't, But I'd advertise it for more than I wanted, so they could 'haggle me down' and pay what I do want, they think they've got a bargain, I've got rid, & cash.

If you wanted to advertise it for a certain amount, wouldn't you advertise it for that?

The weather has slowed the market down a bit so far this year.

Having a quick look there were 22 auctions for CBRf's newer than 2001 over the last couple of weeks and only 5 sold.

2002 -36k one owner from new went for £2150.
2001- 14k full service history £2k.
Best price was a 2001 - 11k for £2500.

It just comes down to how much you want to sell it. You could wait until the end of the auction but the guy might of brought another one by then.
