went out for a littleblast tonight up towards windemere.
arrived and turned right into the parking bit, and a police car was sat on the corner, walked past him and he called me over. his exact words were "why were you looking at me?" after explaining to him that bikers do shoulder checks before turning he shut up and let me on my way
what sort of jumped up power crazed fool stops you for supposadly looking at him, and why does a trafic officer not realise that if i was turning i would check?
seems to me they dont know enough about motorcycling to enforce the rules

end of rant
tom

Should have told him that you thought he was up for a spot of dogging and you were giving him the once over.

I'd love to agree with ratboy Wink Laughing but I think they're just out to get those who aren't 100% compliant with the rules.

I remember getting stopped for looking in my mirrors more than PC Plod thought I should have been. You know, changing direction, change of speed that sort of thing. He even said that he thought I had pulled over too quickly when he put his blues and twos on. I did point out that I was aware of a vehicle behind me with a deffective front light and that had caught my attention. Still got a producer though. Those where the good old days when you could go into your local cop shop at two in the morning to show your documents. Now the buggers are all closed afer 3 pm and don't open again till 8,45 am. Part timers.
