hi,
i've got my bike test on monday, feeling ok about it. been on the road a year already, and been riding bikes (offroading) since i was about 5/6, so my riding is fine. i just have to ride the 'proper way' to pass my test.
i was wondering if anyone had any tips for me on the off chance.

cheers

Just ride safe mate and you'll breeze through it. Passed mine the other week and thought it was a piece of piss (but did help that I had a really easy test route).

Try not to think of it as a test and relax, least that way you'll ride to best of your ability. Remember the lifesavers...mirror checks... ah yeh and watch your speed Razz

Good luck mate Thumbs Up

My advice is do everything you've been doing to far, but don't make out like you're not fussed by the fact the examinor is taking it seriously. Over confident doesn't win any points. Be polite and show him you're safer than most on the roads.

The night before i took my test, i went through all the manouvres in my head and wrote it all down with diagrams. I memorised and wrote down all the things i could remember from my instructor.
Like cars distance from the vehicle in front, when stationary.
The stages of controlled stop.
Stages of a U-turn
And i also wrote down the answers to the maintanence questions and check before riding.

It was like imprinted on my brain on the day, the guy told me to stop when he asked maintanence questions at the end....i just hit him with everything. lol

Lifesavers, mirrors, and more lifesavers

Check your speed / changes in limits

Be aware of traffic & road conditions around you (ie not just blinkered to the front, which can often happen with nerves)

Be confident, but not arrogant

Check thru your maintenance and pillion questions for the show & tell
