No disrespect intended but 2have been around in MotoGp's since I was a spotty faced kid with a pimped out RD 80 ( back in the Swantz, Rainey days)

I reckon they are the 2 most uninspiring cunts on thye grid, HTF are they still around for so long as they win fuck all 99 % of the time .!!

Because they're the type of riders who get the sponsorship to stay in the championship.

There are lots of better riders out there but they wont get the chance.

Totally agree with ya.

That's a bit harsh!

Last couple of years aside, Checa finished within the top 9 for ten years in a row, collecting a handful of podiums each year. The last couple of years he's been on crap bikes - notably this year on the LCR Honda (just look at the difference moving from that team to Ducati has made to Stoner!).

Barros has finished the season in 4th place on five occassions and is still getting on the podium at 36 years old.

Granted, neither are spring chickens and they're on the way out, but if nothing else they offer a smaller team a huge amount of experience. Don't forget that a rider can change the development of a whole bike and can set the team off in a more productive direction.

I cant believe barros is still 36, he seems to have been around forever!. His website says he's had 31 podiums (inc 7 wins) from 251 races. Checa's had 24 podiums from over 200 races. I wouldn't say that was doing fuck all 99% of the time.
If you can remember the schwantz & rainey times, just remember how bad the backmarkers were then.
