Hi

As long as the nuts are undone then it should come off fairly easily.

If really stuck then either lever it off with something soft (eg, the wooden handle of a hammer), or lightly tap it with a soft mallet.

All the best

Hi

This may seem a really silly question, but there is nothing else is holding it in place? For example, battery tray catching on the powervalve, bracing bar across the frame in the way, etc.

All the best

Keith

Hi

There are 2 bolts on each side holding that bar to the frame (bracing bar between the 2 main spars of the frame), and one long bolt holding the barrel to this bar (this is a pain to get at). I normally unbolt it fromthe frame and from the barrel.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Possible you have got an air block. On the top hose near the battery you will find a screw. This is a bleed screw. Undo this and allow air out until water comes out.

You should use a coolant as pure water will corrode the inside of the engine. Also pure water will freeze in winter causing major damage. Most of the time it is a 50 / 50 mix of water and antifreeze.

All the best

Keith
