derestriction time

Well ladies and gentleman I stand from up here on my high horse to declare that I have now completed my 2 years of restriction and am now in need of removing said restrictors.

The bike is a 99 SV650s (carbed) and the kit is the FI international washers.

I've attached two pictures, one says what kind of restrictors are used (incase people try and tell me I need new carb sliders :p ) and the second is where im at now.

So from this picture what should I do next?

Is the narrow opening that I can see when I open the throttle and look down the restrictor?

It certainly looks like it too me!

When your getting it out be very carefull not to lose it down there somehow, cause you probs.

Woot, just finished removing them, gonna go test it on the M(private road) :p

I'll report back and probably put a little guide on sv650.org

Yay it feels uber quick now.

I wasn't noticing any change on normal roads until I got onto the motorway sliproad only to look down and see that I was doing 120!

It seems to effortless now compared to how it was before.

Only problem is I must not have secured something back correctly when I finished removing the restrictors because the engine was noticeably smokey when I came to a stop and smelled a little of oil.

Will have to check it tomorrow to see what it is.
