Oh, and very well done to GJ for helping out at the accident! If only some of the other bikers we saw were more conscientious....

Great day, great roads, great scenery, great photos already... ummm I look far too happy with that sheep! Embarassed (ah well, when in Rome... Shocked)

Thanks for organising Richard and thanks to eveyone who came and made it such a great day.... big respect to the guys from Lancashire, yer can keep yer Gixxas, that RS50 was the most impressive bike of the day!

Sterling work helping out at the accident guys.

Sorry to hear you took the unscenic route home Jane, my directions were minimal at best and I realised I forgot to mention the M54!

Can't say enough how impressed i was that Truslack Jr and Sr made the trip from Preston, on a 125 and the rs50. Clapping

I can only assume that flimbar and gixajane realised they had taken the wrong turn when they followed my towards Wrexham /Chester. I waited for a few Min's and then heard gixa's exhaust note. they didn't pass me with the same gusto, so i realised that they had turned around and got back onto the A5 towards LLangollen. was home in about 40 Min's after that. Thumbs Up

big thanks to rich green for assuming a good av' speed (was about 50 mph all day). kept the bunch together pretty much. didn't lose anyone. Shocked

c'mon rich where is the caption picture of the year contender. can't wait for it.

all the best,
flat Eric.

Yeah, it went a bit pear-shaped at that junction. I filtered into the A5 lane and you and Jane went into the Wrexham/Chester lane. I tried to say "oi Jane, we are going this way" via the medium of flashing my light and a beep on the horn. I should've got ahead of her before then.

When I came past you when I came up that way to fetch Jane, I pointed to Jane and then back over my shoulder trying to say "we're going that way", when me and Jane pulled over and you waved as you went past us I assumed that you realised we were heading off and that you were waving goodbye.... ah well.... we all got home in the end without going too far astray....

...ummm apart from Jane who ended up going via Brum... sorry if I left you with insufficient information Jane Embarassed a detour like that would've been the last thing I needed at that stage in the day. I made it a 325m round-trip for me so I guess Jane was getting on for 400+.

I'm still aching this morning, drove the car into work Embarassed shame!

great video's flimbar. Thumbs Up

Maybe some news on that biker who crashed near to the horseshoe pass. i called into the hospital in Wrexham, and they said that the guy had gone into surgery today. as we didn't get his name, i could not confirm that it was in-fact the same rider we stopped to help. but he was brought in from the horseshoe pass area. bit of a coincidence if it ain't him. Shocked but he is OK. Thumbs Up

glad you all got home OK.

until next time. keep safe.

all the best,
flat Eric.

p.s. what's the name of our mascot Flimbar ?

I tried to meet up at Betws but it seems the timing was wrong, nevermind. However, I did pass someone in the group on the A470 approaching Conwy. I spotted a 50cc sporty looking bike along with a slightly larger bike (perhaps a 125) and a much bigger bike in front. Richard later confirmed that they were indeed a part of the group. Nice to see you (whoever you are) even if we didn't get to chat.

Well done, another successful ride-out.

I think that must have been me in front (blue bandit) showing truslack and his dad the way back to the A55.
Shame the timing didn't work out this time round - there will always be next time!

They make it every year , its by the ice cream place.
I think they do it as a competition but I might be wrong.
