Anyone want to recommend any? I was looking at the Abba stands but I would like something more akin to a small lift that takes both wheels off the floor by a decent margin, preferably without costing the Earth. Confused

Had a look on Ebay and some webpages but most of it looks a bit pants. What are you lot using?

I use front and rear Micron paddock stands and find they they do the job adequately without costing the earth either. Most of my paddock stand use is for general cleaning purposes and chain maintenance.

I use an Abba stand. I know you said you want something different but don't discount the Abba stand straightaway. It's a great bit of kit, very sturdy and secure, and really is very simple to use on your own. I was never very confident using paddock stands on my own but the Abba is brilliant. Picked mine up secondhand as well for £50 so keep an eye out.

It's for a faired bike with no centre stand. And every bike I might own in the future.

Thanks Joe - will do Thumbs Up

Just want to be able to look under and around the bike to clean it and get the wheels off if necessary. I saw the lift Jamie put up earlier - I want to see one in the flesh really... I don't get why the actual motorcycle lift ones like this:

cost like £500. Mind you, the bike still needs a stand for that... Rolling Eyes

that stand in M&P costs £299 + £50 delivery. A very similar one from busters is £249 + delivery. I ended up with the one from m&P as the front wheel clamp was better and they had one in stock. I've always used The micron front and rear padock stands before and got on with them well..but I'm well happy with the new investment..wont look back TBH so much easier working on the bikes now..only had it 3 days but had a zzr600 a VFR750 a cbr900rr a GL400 and a NTV600 on it so far all with no probs So much easier working on the race bike now!!!
