I've had my 07 EN125 for a few months and 899 miles and besides the front forks being very soft they seem to clatter over non smooth road surfaces, a perfect example of the kind of road where it's really noticable would be a cobbled type street.

The clatter almost seems like it's coming from the headset or clocks but upon inspection there just seems to be a slight play when shoving on the bars with the front brake fully applied. I'm not sure but this might actually be coming from the fork stanchions although these are all secure and no movement can be felt by hand.

I've had quite a bit of experience with mountain bike forks and it feels almost as is the rebound is uber tight. My Fox forks would stutter over small surfaces if I had preload and rebound cranked right up although soak up bigger hits which is exactly what the EN does.

I was just wondering if anyone else had problems like this on either their EN125 or other commuter type bike and is there anything that could be done about it? Is this what cheap forks are like or do you think I have some kind of problem? I can see the all the transfer of road vibration eventually damaging the steering head bearings.

Cheers
