Thought I'd share a few pics. Mr. Green

Fortnight ago a mate and myself did the 'Ducati Experience' which is basically PR slang for a trip round a factory and then visit to the company museum. For anyone considering it I'd definately recommend it! Absolutely amazing that they let us wander around a working factory dodging forklifts etc. Top stuff! The museum has all the winners trophies etc along with old racers, last years Moto-GP bikes and the very first Ducati. Well worth a visit.

We decided to Autoroute-it down to Geneva, through the Mont Blanc tunnel, then S-road it through Northern Italy then Modena and on to Bologna city campsite, which we used as base camp for a few days. On the way we camped in St Vincent, in an expensive but immaculate campite with views through the hills! Top town centre too! Thumbs Up

As well as the factory tour, we spent a day walking round Bologna and a couple hacking through Italian backroads up and down valleys! Brilliant!

After this we took the twisties home through the Alps into Southern France, then up through more N-roads through Romans and Valence.

Overall we spent eight days on the road, clocked up over 2400 miles and loved every second! Weather was good too, only encoutered raion in Blighty and Northern France on the way out. Italy was mid-thirties! Cool

Oh and the trusty Bandit clicked over the magical 50k somewhere in the Alps. Good girl. Razz

What's stopping you?

Here's how. Free guided tours twice a day.

My pics from last September here.

A couple of days to ride down, or a couple of hours to fly down. Make a weekend of it, as Bologna is a great University city with an amazing night life, but also plenty of great sights and culture. If you have a Ducati, you've got to take the old girl home at least once to revisit the place where she was put together by loving hands (yes, most of the work is still done by hand by people who've been doing that for 20-30 years and take great pride in their work, and love meeting Ducatisti from all over the world to get feedback). Very Happy
