Hairy Rs 1/5th turn quick action throttle- recomended!

Hi, not got that one, but have a different one which replaces the whole throttle assembly, and I highly recommend it, people who haven't used it say it makes the bike jerky, but it doesn't.

JHS Racing said to me that type are dangerous because apparently the throttle cable can get stuck, but I've never heard of it happening, and they just happen to sell a different type of quick action throttle, make of that what you will.

Overall, for about £25, you can't really go wrong.

bought and fitted. what a difference this makes, its like riding in anger all the time love it. makes my 600 feel like ive down geared or something - cant wait to get one on the thou.

I like quick actions throttles; though obviously do be careful on the road with bikes that have a wide spread of power.

On my 675 I bodged one up by gluing cable ties to the throttle tube where the cable goes over it.

Obviously if you do this, be very careful; make sure there's no way they can come off or could trap the throttle cable as it could end up pretty nasty. I did plenty of dry then 'safe' testing before taking it onto track.

well i got the second one fitted on the GSXR 1000.... WOW, its like a different animal - much more how i imagined the gix thou would be, it was far too soft as standard.
