i have been using the inforad m1 for 2 years now on my ZX6r and will admit its great. however it seems to have developed a strange problem.

i travelled today to croft which was 120 miles on the motorway, anyway after about half an hour riding i looked at the inforad and noticed it was trying to reastablish a connection with satelite, it did this but then i noticed it repeating this over and over. finally it started flickering and acting strangly before going out. now what was strange was if i dropped my rpms/speed to about 6000/75 it would come back to life, but when i accelerated again it would die.
it carried this on all the time after a while. i thought this was an engine problem as it seemed to be kind of stuttering around these rpm's BUT then i realised this was when the power jumps in and i thought that perhaps it was because i was sat on the 'power band'? as dropping a little speed or speeding up a little made everything fine (engine wise not inforad)

on the journey home i started the bike and it fired up fine and seemed ok but within 15 minutes the inforad started playing up and flickering and no matter what i did it would not change. until it would just randomly come on warning me i was speeding ..(honest i wasnt Smile)or flicker etc.. in the end i stuffed it behind the clocks and enjoyed the rest of the journey

any suggestions would be useful,

i asked my fellow riders to watch my lights etc to see if they were flickering or dropping low etc but they said all that seemed fine.

thanks

If the inforad is plumbed into the bikes electrics this could be a sign of a charging fault.
