 |
|
I've had the idea floating around in my head for a while of turning the CG125 into something a bit more interesting - virtually of course, as it would be un-economical to tune or modify the CG in real life. Anyway, this is what I came up with given an hour and a half in some photo software...
https://fc03.deviantart.com/fs18/f/2007/215/f/8/Honda_CG125___Cafe_Racer___by_homeforsummer.jpg
'Homeforsummer' is just my screen name on Deviantart. I upload my motor racing and music photography on that site.
What do people think? I lowered the bars, cut the tail short and the clocks and lights are from a Honda Shadow. The heat-effect on the exhaust took a fair while to get right
Anyone fancy building it for me? |

Interesting idea, I like the front end. Not so keen on the ass end though, not really my thing. Great job still. ____________________ My deviantArt gallery - My Youtube profile

Cheers for the comments everybody
I think quite a few people must have ideas for the CG, after all as so many people had one as a first bike I'm sure they have ideas of how to improve it!
It's a pity that is isn't a very tuneable bike, because I would be seriously tempted to buy a cheapo but solid one off eBay and set to work on it. I'm sure even if you could get another 4-5bhp out of it and uprate the suspension and brakes accordingly, I'm sure it could be turned into a nice little toy...
Maybe I'll try it anyway at some point for a larf |

I don't think they still make the Dream as a road bike, but they do make the Dream 50 R still, a load of US bike sites have recently tested it.
Here's a vid of it on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQAXpPhwovY

I've been daydreaming along similar lines since I got my CG - only I was also thinking of a double headlight, upside down forks, and (primarily for comedy effect) Rothmans livery ____________________ Hmmmm..... is it supposed to do that?

Right slightly off topic, what's the deal with Rat Bikes, I just don't get it...
Now I know on the other hand that you could say " Ok then what's the deal with Street Fighters " ( seeing as I like them ) but with a S/F it's all about the engineering and the time spent and the overall finish, but like I say what's the deal with Rat Bikes...
Not knocking anybody, I just wondered...
Or have I just answered my own question?... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

rat biking is basicaly biking on the cheap, spending as little time and money as possible fixing or cleaning and as much time riding as possible.
or as the ratbike zone puts it..
| Quote: |
Rat Bikes Are No-Nonsense.
Motorcycles? Sure - they use less fuel than cars, and motorcycles are easier to maneuver, park etc. But, deep down, the True Secret is: Motorcycles Are Fun. That's it! That's why we ride them, all the rest is just so much rationalizing. And Ratbikes are the ultimate distilled evolution of motorcycling: No Bullsh*t involved. Just do the minimum to keep them healthy and Ride. Let your bike wear it's visual history with pride. No time consuming cleaning, washing, polishing, adding shiny parts that do nothing. None of that, forget about it! Embrace The Pure and Essential Essence of Riding - Ride A Ratbike! |
cheers
