Well I've done it, put the bike on Ebay.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2438554668&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:UK:1

Thought it was worth a go, I'd rather someone bought it and used it rather than letting the dealer break it.

I'm guessing you like your bikes nice and shiny. It all looks like cosmetic damage to me you should get quite alot for it.

Yeah, it's mostly cosmetic. The Alt cover has split and the exhaust got squashed, there's a mark on the frame around the engine bolt but the garage didn't seem to think it was a problem, looks like a scratch from where a mushroom's been fitted. Anything I can get will help towards a deposit, if only I can wait till Spring. Sad

Don't know, the engineer was such a gimp he phoned me up twice asking me how much I thought it was worth! Then the third party insurers lost the engineers report for about 3 months so I didn't actually see it. I only saw the quote from the garage and it's my local dealer so I get on well with the mechanics and they may have helped with the write off valuation. Wink

As far as I'm aware the frame and the major parts are fine, it's purely down to the cost of original Honda parts and panels.

Surely it says on the bit of paper saying what type of write off it is? Confused
