Weird.
I was sitting with a freind in a transit van lastnight, we were just about to pull out of a junction when a woman trundled past on a bike towing one of those clip on baby bikes at the back.
Only thing was, there was no child. My pal asked her politely if she'd maybe lost something... |

I imagine he stayed on the bike despite the collision though? Otherwise he'd have noticed it was gone when he tried to pick himself up off the ground. Must have been a horrific speed to have come clean off yet he stay on the bike. ____________________ My deviantArt gallery - My Youtube profile

I can't believe that you can have an accident that is enough to sever your leg off, yet you manage to stay on the bike and ride on for another 2km without noticing. ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |

Crazy stuff!
Can you imagine riding along thinking, "My leg is hurting, better pull over and see whats up", then you pull over look down, "Fuckin hell, where is the rest of my leg!".
I would probably faint! |

I'm sure I read a similar story (may be on here?) recently where a bloke had his foot severed by a broken chain and he only noticed when he pulled over to the side of the road and put his 'foot' down to stop and promptly toppled over.
"Oh f*ck, those fairings are going to cost me a bundle. What the...? Where's me foot gone?"

Well two points here he was riding fast, fast = 2km = nowt ie less than a minute at legal speeds , even less at illegal
speeds, and no doubt adrenaline was really pumping , with enough adrenaline you can do what seem like amazing feets
I recall this woman lifting a car after her child was trapped under neath it, also on a more related note why its so easy to lift
your bike after a minor spill even if it is a heavy old monster.
the most amazing story was this guy who walked in on a drug deal and was opened up on by a couple guys with Uzis on this US trauma type surgery program on in the 90s , been shot over 90+ times and still managed to leg it to safety. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. A good point in the comments - he crashed after failing to negotiate a turn. OK, so that means he got up, walked to his crashed bike, lifted it up, got on, turned it on and rode away, all without noticing he was missing half a leg?
Yeah, right. |
