BF 2142 & MS Outlook 2007 Problem

As the title says ive been having a problem with BF2142, for some reason during a game i get kicked to windows and it starts outlook and BF then crashes and i have end the process and rejoin. As you can imagine this is a total pain in the @rse when your playing good.

This is the only game i get this problem with, i have logitech setpoint installed and have hunted on the web to see if there is keyboard short cut key to launch 2007 without any success just incase i has hitting it during game.

Any idea's?

That's really wierd, but I think you're on the right track in thinking that it's some kind of shortcut key/keys that you're hitting unintentionally. Just freeze the next time it happens and think what was the last thing you did and repeat.

BF2142 crashes for me every time a new map tries to load. Must be Vista's fault. I'm just waiting for the next BF patch to inlude supprt for my OS. Way to stay with the times, EA.

Am with vista m8 and it works fine apart from the bloody MS Outlook. I thought i might have found the problem, vista if you hit the windows key and and and number it launches the quick launch so i thought it might be that so i removed outlook from quick launch but it happened again. I actualy found away if you get kicked to windows to get bf2142 working again ctrl escape a few times it puts you back to bf2142 without gettting the game crashing on you.

Yeah i run it on Alienware Aurora m9700 laptop only has 2gig of ram but its fine for that game. Had the same problem last night and it is really making me stop playing as i was 50-0 defending the titan and it kicked me to windows GRRRRR.

have you fully updated your BF2142? and graphics card drivers

I did have problems at first getting kicked to desktop etc but runing under administor mode seemed to stop that. Im pretty sure that you have done that one already.

Yeah, I forget who, but someone on here helped me figure that one out. And then there was when Punkbuster kept kicking me back out to the server list after only a minute or two of every game. That was also fun. What a pain in the ass.

and is the game patched and punkbuster updated as well?

Yeah everything is fine with the game only it launches fecking outlook 2007 for no reason.
