Would anybody know of a workaround to disable activation please?
I'm building a new p.c and do not have it connected to the net, it is a legitimate copy of xp I just do not want to ring ms for an activation code only to ring up again when i've finalised the build.

If it's been activated before.

Dont worry about ringing as long as you answer the automated questions it'll activate fine. Also you get 30 days grace to activate.

Since vista came out I don't think they ever put you onto an operator anymore, I activate xp a lot with work and it always seems to be accepted with the automated thingy now.

Me too, I mostly use Microsoft Mary but on some rare occasions i get through to an operator, from which i always get an activation code anyhow.

I do have a... erm... workaround for WPA but it's slightly less then legit which i wouldn't use on a legal license... just use the phone automation thingy Thumbs Up.

Cheers Guys, I just do not want to ring up too many times for a code, as I said in my post I'm not connected to the net at the moment, however I found out that if you repair your copy of windows with a early version it removes the activation.

gsxrmick, he said he's not connection it to the internet therefore he has to phone regardless... the cd itself is WORM storage so has no way of knowing if the codes been activated before without going online Smile.
