I haven't ridden the 125 but I have ridden the 250 which is onyl slightly bigger and heavier.
First things, brake pads and tyres area very good thing to change if they haven't been changed already. The original "Shinko" tyres are crap but if you replace them for other ones it'll be fine. The brakes are OK but can be vastly improved by just changing the pads.
I can't directly compare it to other faired bikes as it is the first faired bike I've ridden but comparing it to the 125 which is Chinese is a big difference. First off, the Hyosung didn't feel cheap or tacky. Not as good quality as Japanese/British/Italian but it's getting there as the years go on.
I've only put 1k miles on the bike but everything has been all good except for the crappy chain and sprockets but that's the previous owner to blame as he never tensioned it or cleaned it or oiled it or anything. Spent 2 hours today cleaning it all and there was huge chunks of crap on the front sprocket.
Thought it was good tbh, not to mention that if you get an aftermarket can it will sound nicer than most if not any 125. I've heard the 250 with a Yoshimura can and that sounds mean!
Also, to get better reviews on the bike head over to www.korider.com as it's a dedicated site for Hyosungs and people there will be able to tell you more and truthful things rather than people who jump on the bandwagon. ____________________ '99 Hornet 600 , VFR 400 NC30 '92 , Kasawamasaki GT 550 , '98 Hornet 600
