My mum has just burnt a hole through a pasty, in the microwave.
Just made me wonder what things you lot have burnt accidently or on purpose in the microwave.
I tried to finnish of a boiled egg once, Id boiled it for what I thought was long enough, emptied the water out, (I dont know why but I always try and tidy as I go, in the kitchen, nowhere else) I topped the egg and the white was still a bit runny
With the top off the egg, I thought the thing would not explode. I was so wrong

Put a CD in there shiney side up
Inhale deeply the gases released
I bear no responsibilty if you die
Cut a grape nearly in half, but not quite leaving a bit of skin connecting the two halves. Put it in the microwave with the cut upwards. And watch
Put a lighbulb in the microwave
Put a potatoe in the microwave
Get a daddy longlegs. Get all the daddy longlegs you can and put em in the the microwave. Turn it on for about 5 seconds. They kinda stumble around like thier drunk
*If you blow yourself or your microwave up, its not my fault* |

The night before I moved into a new flat at uni a flat 'mate' had cooked a pizza. He followed the instructions to cook the pizza in the 'oven' for 25 minutes. He had never cooked for himself before and thought that putting the pizza in the microwave for 25minutes was the correct thing to do.
The pizza actually caught fire, along with the microwave, and the building had to be evacuated as he set the fire alarms off for the whole block of flats. Needless to say we took the piss out of him for the whole year we shared the flat. I don't think he ever learnt his lesson and continued to put other stupid things in the microwave such as pies (still in their foil tins).
We told him one day that if he put too much salt in the water when cooking pasta it would become volatile. I came home one night to find him waiting for someone to come home to supervise him in case he put too much salt in and blew the flat up
What an idiot. Amusing at the time though.
Oh, and speaking of boiled eggs, M managed to forget about hers the other night and cooked the egg for around 25-30 minutes. Fortunately when she remembered it still had a tiny amount of water left in the pan. Rubber eggs anyone? ____________________ "Unlike public school you don't need to have your arse up and your head down to go a long way...." |

My mother managed to burn a hole through the actual bottom of the microwave!
She was sterilizing glass jars or something and it burnt through.
Now as if that wasn't bad enough, a bit later my father comes in and goes "I've fixed the microwave for you love", and how had he fixed it?
He covered the hole with a bit of masking tape!
My parents need locking up for their own safety. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

My gran never entirely understood the concept of microwaving, believeing it to be some kind of 'magic box' that would transform food from one state to another.
On xmas day, she emptied a packet of dry Paxo kinda stuff into a dish and nuked it, expecting lovely moist stuffing to be produced at the other end.
What was produced was an impressive amount of smoke, flames, a lovely scorch mark up the wall, an empty fire extinguisher and a ruined christmas dinner.
She was banned from using the replacement microwave after that. |

Well thats what I was thinking as well but you would have thought that once it stopped running about, or at least, when slowed down, he would have took it out
