Why do you want a 'supermoto'?
If it's the better brakes, then improve them, if you want to touch the pegs down, get sticky road tyres and wheels.
If it's the style you like, then go for what ever you like the look off .
Personally, I'd find a pre-converted one in most cases, unless you've already got lots of bits yourself.
I am actually tempted to tart my CRM up sometime, but I have spare hubs, calipers, etc so won't need much money or work to do. |

And today it rolled on its new wheels..
Spent the whole day tinkering and managed to get everything fitted
Took it for a couple of short blasts round the block
Handles very differently to when running the knobblies
Well worth the effort and looking forward to getting to know the bike all over again
Back tyre is very flat spotted and I will replace it as soon as I can afford another BT45 (though hoping I can persuade it to round off again in the meantime??....not planning on going on any motorways or anywhere remotely straight!)
Wheels seem to be pointing in the same direction, although offset slightly
Rear adjusters are a couple of notches off from each other to get the rear pointing dead ahead :-/
Rides fine and hands were taken off the bars at several speeds 20 / 30 MPH and it tracks straight
Not been very fast yet to see if its unstable in a straight line at speed
Feels ace cornering and very secure/sure footed and light
MOT supposed to be tomorrow but need to fix the horn and want to put a dash on it so it will have to wait till mid week now
Pics...
Will take some more of the spacers /top hats I made and the brake hanger mod when I take the wheels off next
Need to get the front brake hanger re-made in stainless or alloy as I only had mild steel which will rust overnight I guess
Regards
