i need an mp3 player..

Right i need an mp3 player... but i dont like or want to use itunes so i guess an ipod is out of the question. i'd like to use windows media player so what mp3 players are compatible? the bigger the better really as i want a lot of songs on it, im not fussed about pics or movies, just as long as it plays songs decently is all i need. willing to spend a fair bit, probably upto £150 or so - what can you reccomend?

I have a Samsung MP3 player. It's only 2 gig (cost just under £80)but there are others with bigger memories out there. I went for this because I didn't particularly want to spend out extra on an iPod for essentially the same thing.

It will play .wma files as well as MP3, so will be compatible with Windows Media Player.

Creative Zen V plus, can't reccomend enough.

I got a Samsung YH-920 which is 20GB mp3 and can use Windows Media Player, cost me £45 off eBay last year around Christmas.

Though for your budget I would probably get a Creative Zen.

I've got a Sansa c150. It's not a bad little player for under $50. Sounds good enough, GUI's easy to navigate, has most of the more important features, and it was cheap. For a bit more money, Microsoft's Zune is the best player outside of the Apple camp, imo.

I bought my girlfriend the Creative Zen V+ Pink from Play.com for about £70 8 months ago and she loves the bollocks off of the thing, so I'd say +1 for the ZV+

Windows media player compatible, plus you can use it like you'd use a USB stick, drag and drop the music from explorer/etc
