Dunno about the edit.. But it's still a good message.

Take care folks.. Warm sun, busy roads and motorbikes can be a volatile mix.

Not to me though. I'm too skint to fill the fuel tank. Smile

Good message. Benefit of riding rain or shine means i'm not tempted to go crazy when the sun's out. I prefer the cooler weather myself.

I am riding up to Hartside Pass near Penrith, from Blackpool tomorrow, no doubt the roads will be full of Sunday drivers and tourists who don't know where they are going. These are the most dangerous type of people on the road in my experience

And badly-riding ones unfortunately. I wouldn't envy a traffic-copper's job on bank holiday weekend Sad

You better have a good reason for coming to this awful place Very Happy

The link road to the A55 was absolutely packed and grid-locked this afternoon. I fancied a ride into Wales, but soon changed my mind.

I can see why, but it's a bit odd. Confused Plus, T.C's posts scare me. I'm still worried like hell about my chain Embarassed til I can afford to replace it, and need my bike to earn cash for the chain. Catch 22.

Good advice!

I was going to ride like an absolute arse this particular weekend, and put myself and everybody else in danger.

Now though, I've seen the light - thank god for this post... Very Happy

Stop worrying about your chain. 20 odd years on bikes and I've never had one come off. As long as your happy that your looking after it then it thats the best you can hope for.

Accidents happen.

I got knocked off my bike by a pigeon. Doesn't mean it'll happen to anyone else.

A pigeon did that?!?! Shocked

As for the chain, I can't help it, I've noticed every movement it makes as I make any progress. I'm getting really bad and there's nothing I can do. Crying or Very sad

The Air Ambulance seems to have been like a taxi in and out of Harrogate District all day today. No idea if any of them were bike related, but the sunny weather does seem to increase the frequency

Years ago, a guy from our village was hit in the face by a pigeon whilst out on his bike, it killed him.

So you're quite lucky its only damaged your bike, although i don't suppose you feel lucky right now.
