Thought I'd have a go at a theme as a paint scheme on a bike of mine.

It's not yet finished so I'll see where this goes I think once its all together I can decide whether it works or not!

So far I've got the tank and the mudguard done on the GSX600.
Its taking a while, but hey thats the whole thing about the learning process I guess!

Sorry about the pics they are a bit shit!

I'm halfway through respraying my CBR stunt bike, and I thought I'd done a fairly impressive job so far.. for a first timer.. but yours is fooking amazing!! if thats all airbrushed you should defietly do bits on bikes for people etc.. looks great and cant wait to see it all on the bike.

Nice to see something a bit different.
Just waiting now to see the thing as a whole Thumbs Up

As a side issue does anyone change the V5 after this? If so what do you put as the bike colour?

Also does this kind of custom paint job make the bike less likely to be nicked? Given that the panels/parts will be easy to id and not worth putting on another bike.

"I'm assuming it's airbrushed..."

Shifty

I must confess my specialty is vinyl graphics, so I'm afraid to say this is all vinyl!

I use common old spray paint for the base colour and then draw all my stuff in illustrator. Then its off to my cutter and onto the twidlly applying it to the bits I want it to be stuck onto. (At this point much cursing occurs!) It's a right old pain in the arse to get a flat image onto a curved surface.

I have got an airbrush though and will be digging it out again in the near future, so that should be fun.

Nah not camo just a bit old and the old paint was falling off gave them a bit of a respray after those photos.

I'm dead chuffed with the outcome now. Took it to the Wozwolf Rally last weekend and had some guy took loads of photos of it. He said he was something to do with a bike magazine and it may be featured, which would be amazing! Fingers crossed! Dance!

Seconded for 300! Would have to be a mean bike though. And sound mean. Should most probably be a v-twin or V4.

Ps, Bike looks awesome. The only thing I don't like is the "graphics designed blah blah blah" but meh. Looks awesome all the same. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
