Ok will keep it breif...

Mate imported a Honda Integra Type R (new shape) and had it insued on a limited mileage policy with ADRIAN FLUX. Later sold it (within 6 months) and bought a mondeo. Tried to swap the insurance but the bloodsuckers demanded his last two MOT certificates to verify mileage of his old car. Now this car had came from Japan 6 months ago and had NO SUCH THING AS TWO MOT's! Plus it was no longer his car. They later cancelled his policy, leaving him without NCB. Now, a very irate mate then threw everything in the bin to do with ADRIAN FLUX and tried to get on with his life. He receieved a recorded delivery letter yesterday infoming him he had committed a 'serious' offence by not sending back the cover note for a car he no longer had.

Oh my god, why do these leeches constantly screw the life out of people!!!?!?!?

Thing is, Adrian Flux are the only people who'll touch (or give decent quotes) for modified cars.

They've been great to me when i questioned bits, but i've never filled in soo much paperowork for insurance in my life....

I've not heard of it being an offence to not send back an insurance covernote. Besides the policy was cancelled because of their incompetance not his, so they shouldn't be complaining. I don't see why they'd demand paperwork on a vehicle after he's finished insuring it, its not longer a risk then..

What's the paperwork Adrian flux ask for? I've not been insured with them but looks like I might be come october and someone else mentioned to me about a shed load of paperwork...?

Covernotes only normally last 30 days. How come he was still on it after 6 months?

If you're going with them because you're modified you need to list all your mods. Limited mileage requires decleration of the actual readings.

It's not *that* much, just when ever other insurance company is form-less, AF is a bit of a ball ache.

I've heard better things about Greenlight. Got some interestingly low quotes off them for group 17 cars for when I turn 21. Havn't heard anything but good reports about thier customer service either.

Cover note/document whatever, certificate of insurance either way.

Ended up with adrian flux not because its modified but because there isnt a definate insurance grouping for it with it not being a UK car or some rubbish. I think to ask for the impossible then throw your toys out of the pram when you dont get it is a disgrace. Theres absolutely no way he could get the information for them, so they cancelled his policy.

Thumbs Down from my point of view

Yeah he's been treated pretty shitty, but you do have to send the insurance certificate back if he had one.
