I found this just now on eBay and I can't help but wonder if this is a joke or not.

Would my bike smell of strawberries if I started burning this rather than the silkoline stuff I normally use?

And who would want strawberry scented oil?

Many moons ago when I had a scoot, the shop put strawberry scented oil in it when it was serviced.

It smells very vaguely of fake strawberries in the bottle (they gave me the left overs) but the smoke didn't smell any different. Nor was it a pretty pink colour or anything else fun. Disappointing.

What scent do you want, local bike shop has strawberry, watermelon, peach, orange, lime and a load others.

They also do fuel additive in the same smells.

Watermelon fuel additive, mmmm exhaust fumes.

A long time a go Motul Fully Synth 2 stroke used to be strawberry/raspberry scented and a nice deep burgundy colour too. I did occasionally wonder what it tasted like. Rolling Eyes

I really like the smell of normal two-stroke oil. The strawberry stuff sounds like it would smell horrible. Ever smelt burnt strawberries? Sick

On the subject of bike fuids, you can also put flavoured water in your coolant system and should it fail, and you get a big cloud of steam stuff, it smells of said flavour too Cool

I still don't get the point of the scent Laughing I love the smell of 2 smokes. And theres no way I'm gonna pay that much for oil, my bike just doesn't need that kinda money.

But I do like st3v3's theory.. I'd know when my bike was getting totally fucked due to the smell of watermellon.. Wink.

It does have uses , for instance motorcycle trials:
It does not sting your eyes like most non scented 2 stroke oils do , so when you are waiting at a section in a trial you don't get "eye sting" as its know. ( Normal oil Really hurts your eyes!)

Also a lot of motocross riders use it for the same sort of reason.

Thumbs Up

I do hope it doesn't actually make the fumes scented, it doesn't seem like a good idea to attract people to sniffing exhaust fumes excessively... Laughing
