Scrotum Piercings?

Might be below the belt (no pun intended ), but has anyone got one? A scrotum piercing that is, not a scrotum...

Good or bad idea?

Yeah, my mate Tigger Alldus (now sadly deceased) used to call me in the middle of the night at odd occasions, to inform me that he had pierced his nut-sack again, and to what (usually gory-sounding) effect.

I think when he died, he had a prince albert and two bars in his scrote*. Always amused the nurses when he had x-rays.

I was thinking about geting my foreskin done, but I know I'll end up ripping it off, erm, somehow...

I used to work with a guy who got a prince albert and it got infected so he has to take it out. As soon as that cleared up he got it pierced again.

One I definately won't be having is a Ampallang Piercing... it can bleed for 5 days... and has to be done very precisely and therefore slowly and painfully... do not click to see the picture...

I can't speak from experience as I don't have a scrotum but I know many people who do have theirs pierced. Actually most of the people I know have gone on to get a scrotal ladder.

Chances are you're pierced, or have been before so you will know all about the amount of aftercare required and for the length of time you need to keep at it. Especially with genital piercings as avoiding infection in that area is imperative. Vital, infact!

Anyway, I'm sure you have done or are doing a shit load of research before going ahead with it.

So I'd say as long as you're confident you can look after it, go for it. If anything, it'll be an experience and there's little reason why it should be a bad one.

i wouldnt, permanant scrotal piercings leave you open to all sorts of serious infections as the piercing passes through an internal cavity and leaves a permanant open 'channel' for nasties to get into your nutsack, so ill vote bad idea!

hmm not real keen on scrote work but I do have 3 piercings below the belt.
One is just a frenum so is just a surface peircing and can be quite prone to rejection (growing out) The other 2 pass through the head itself and as such greatly lessens the chance of rejection.

not wanting to put you off but I will add a pic of a guy who ended up with a haemetoma from having work done on his scrote.
If I remember though it was an immplant as such and not a simple piercing.

Consider what you want done and the benefits you expect to receive from such work.
As said there is a bit of after care required with this sort of work but if is what you want and your comitted to keeping it clean then so be it.

Depending on what you want done there will be a difference in healing time and cleaning requirements.

if you simply want a sleeper (ring) place through the surface healing and cleaning will be minimal.

If you're going for something trans-scrotal (thru from the front and out the back) then your times and effort will be greatly increased as is the chance of any issues

Oh also get over and check out BME and read some of the experiences will help alot with research and deciding what you want and maybe who does it.

I got my lip pierced the other day.

I am very heavily tattooed, and have injured much discomfort without any real problems. But I felt really queasy after being pierced, and didn't really hurt at all. Had to sit down for about 10mins. Must be psychological.
