Was £25 "admin fee" for me plus the additional premium. Smile

Last time I did one it was £20, but that was about 7 months ago... so "Chriss" is most likely more correct.

Why the fuck do people still use Bennets?

They've been on Watchdog twice.

Explains a lot, they charged me £45 to change my address last year and then put my policy up £150 even though I moved from an estate in town to the middle of nowhere in the country.

They've offered me good customer service at a reasonable price? I, personally, don't mind paying for good customer service.

Read your policy for those details, but also get some alternative quotes, if the bike is a cheaper one to ensure they may end up owing you money, also remember Bennetts is an intermediary, the underwriter you are with may not be the cheapest for the new bike

Beware if the policy you have is make specific.
Had a huge spat with them after changing my bike - they charged a cancellation fee to close the existing policy in addition to wanting more for the new one.

This was not mentioned at the selling stage but they insisted I should have read the small print and realised there'd be a fee.
Bennets = evil empire
