And you can bugger off Mr. Microsoft lawyer - I've got a valid Vista license that came with my Vaio, but I don't want all the crappy software that Sony force on you, so I want to do a rebuild and just install a clean version.

Right, now that's over, does anyone out there have a copy of Vista Home Premium they wouldn't mind backing up for me? I don't need a license number or owt like that. I tried torrent's but all that seems to be out there is the beta version which is no good as it causes problems with netio.sys (which I need for Slimserver and my Squeezebox), so it has to be the official release version.

I'll throw you a few quid and some Karma for your trouble.

Thanks for that but I've already tried that one and it isn't the full release version, it was a leaked final beta that was released about 3 weeks prior and sadly has the same problem with netio.sys (I use that version on my desktop where it works fine)

I don't know why no-one has uploaded the final version onto a Torrent site, it's been out for almost a year!
