Joined a 1% Club

I've just joined the most exclusive 1% club of them all...I have just become one of the few people who has bought a bike after making a thread about it!

It's an Indian Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Millitary, which I picked up yesterday from the good people at Drysdale Motorcycles in Perth.

Paid £1600 for it, but given that it had only done 122kms when i took delivery of it i'm pretty chuffed with that!

Still being very wary of throttle use since i've got to run it in myself, but had an amazing ride back to Dundee yesterday via all the B roads while basking in sunshine!

Anyway, I'll get a few pics up soon, but here's the one I took with my phone camera before picking it up just to start.

Cheers for all who replied to my thread, and I'm sure I'll be asking a few more questions in the Workshop section in coming weeks!

Yes I like it and its a really nice bike ,im not disputing that.(in case you don't know I like old bikes.)
Its the fact you say "thats a nice example of biking history you've got there", its not got any part in biking history at all mate, end of!

That powerplant and most of the cycle parts have been in continuous production for over 50 years therefore booking its place in the history books.

I've never been into old style bikes, but I really like that. Can just imagine ambling round the countryside on it!

Sounds like a bargain @ 1600 quid too! Well Done!

This exact model is just kickstart only, so my thighs have def grown a few cms in daimeter in the last week! I've been on a scooter mainly for the last 2 years (with occasional off-roading) but i've still managed to have a few occasions where i've knocked it down a cog at 40mph because the shifter is 1up 3 down...oh well, i'll learn sooner or later
