I have a 99' Bandit 1200. Ive fitted a Yoshimura RS3 exhaust and I have a K&N filter waiting to be fitted in my garage.
I have always been under the impression that if both of these were fitted then I would need to get the bike re-jetted, so I went down to a Suzuki dealer today to ask about the cost of doing it and if they could do it there.
To cut a long story short, the bloke said not to bother, and the bike should run just the same without doing it. Is this right? Confused

The K&N and can would make it run lean

I'd get it on a dyno with an exhaust gas analyser to check.

I kind of new to all this stuff. All my previous bikes ive just run stock. This is the only one ive played about with. Where can I get all this done, do most dealers/garages do it or do I need to take it somewhere particular?

Cheers

When you get it done and if they do find its running lean due to the extra flow, it might be worth going bak to the "bloke" that said not to bother and thank him for his valuable help. Wink

Liverpools a bit of a trek, im all the way down in South Wales, in between Swansea and Cardiff.
How much does all this cost, or does it depend on where it done?

Sounds about right but its not a 100%...

My work ran a bandit 1200 race series a few years back and you always find no matter what make of can, that pre K series bandit 1200s will be rich with a can fitted. The air filter will counter act this and should balance it out nicely...

...When we were doing the race bikes you werent allowed performance filters so we couldnt take that route, so when fitting cans we removed the intake snorkle allowing more air in... which in 95% of the cases fixed the problem.
