I want to have a look at a sv650 off of ebay, but the only person i know who knows anything about bikes doesn't want to trek through london.
So I'm hoping one of you lot can come to my help in my hour of need Mr. Green
I know absoloutley nothing about the sv or what to look for when buying second hand, so if anyone who has some knowledge at this kind of thing, is free on thew weekend, and doesn't mind takeing a look at a bike then I would be forever in your debt Smile

Thanks

I live on the Essex/Herts border, just within Essex... but I work weekends! Sorry mate!

However, if you check out The South East bit of BCF some of the freindly people on there might be able to help!

Just fire it up several times (3 minimum is good...from hot engine and a cold one too), using the electric start, check wiring, look at the brakes, suspension, forks, handling, tyres, and scrapes can knock the price down a bit..Erm, as can non-stock parts.

Also, see if you can test ride it, this is a big thing when buying a bike. You need to ride it, check that all gears work well, it doesn't overheat, it steers straight, handles well, clutch slip.

Look at rims too, chipped ones and the scuffs indicates it may have been a track day bike and, looks like it has been beaten a little tbh.

Just check the basic things..
best of luck Thumbs Up
