Not entirly sure about how authentic it is, but:
https://www.scootertune.com/gilera/spec.htm

Not the best laid-out page I've seen...

a runner 180 is 20bhp at the crank

it wont do 0-60 in 4 or 5 seconds. more like 8 seconds but they are quick Very Happy

Odd, but looking at that spec sheet it seems they made the same engine in both 2 and 4 stroke form with basically no difference in power output Confused

I have to say after someone posted a pic of a DNA 50 in the pictures section, a 180cc 2t version would be a very cool bike.

Seems like they would be good for commuting on, I'd prefer it to a standard moped for sure. Not many 2strokes above 125cc are in production these days, so it's a rarity.

172s are just all out revving wheelie beasts Laughing

(Usual forum excuse to post a pic of one's bike Razz )...
Still 125cc and 4st (think our mods actually lost some power Neutral) - but a tartier DNA:

Not sure I'd choose a DNA over a gear'd bike given the choice though Smile.

I wasn't impressed by the Runner with the 172 kits (mine anyway), i bought one & took it back the same week. It would lift from acceleration which is fun but didn't seem to do much for top end. Wasn't anywhere near as fun as my Typhoon. Smile

peds are/were never about top end tho

mine was always setup for pure accel as there was no point chasing speed when it takes loads to see a true ton Rolling Eyes
